WHAT IS A FLEXI CAR CONTRACT?
Sitting between Lease Contracts and Daily Rental Hire, Flexi Car Contracts offer an alternative, more flexible form of obtaining a car to use when you need on.
These contracts are on a month-by-month basis and will only stop when you decide to cancel or swap your vehicle. We use 28 days as a month and your minimum contract is for 28 days once the initial 3 month subscription has passed.
Flexi Car Contracts vehicles will also usually include the following with every new contract;
- Manufacturer’s Warranty,
- Breakdown Cover (with Roadside Assist),
- Road Tax, Maintenance
- Full Comprehensive Motor Insurance Cover (Additional Cost)
Aside from having the benefit of bundling all your payments into one, you’ll also have access to a ‘Our Fleet’ from which you can pick and choose different models to swap into for a period of 28 days. Ensuring you have the correct vehicle for any occasion!
WHAT CARS CAN I GET WITH A FLEXI CAR CONTRACTS RENTAL?
Flexi Car Contracts providers vehicles from brand new and often, your car will be under 6 months or 12 months old (depending on the model). Having such a new car means that you’ll get to benefit from a full manufacturer’s warranty if anything goes amiss with your vehicle during your contract.
At Flexi Car, we presently have the following manufacturers available for subscription:
- Audi
- BMW
- Mercedes-Benz
- Mini
- Range Rover
- Volkswagen
- Volvo
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT WITH YOUR RENTAL?
We charge a standard 1 month’s deposit upfront for our rentals. However, depending on the credit decision, we might ask for a larger refundable amount. This simply sits on the account until the contract comes to an end. A compulsory admin fee and set up charge of £100.00 + VAT is applicable on all vehicles.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD?
Our minimum subscription period is 3 months with a rolling 28 day commitment​ cycle. After this, you are free to return or swap your car without incurring extra charges in the process.
If you decide to return part-way through your next 28-day agreement, you will be refunded for any unused days left on the account.​
HOW OFTEN CAN I SWAP?
After your initial 3 month period has elapsed, you’re free to change your vehicle as often as you’d like.
Please note; delivery charges and admin fees are not included as part of your change over.​
​WHO OWNS THE CAR?
Our fleet is managed by Flexi Car Contract and the vehicles are owned by Flexi or one of our associated companies.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY CAR?
Your vehicle will normally be set up and ready to go within 5 to 7 days from credit check approval.​
CAN DELIVERY BE ARRANGED TO MY ADDRESS?
Yes! Vehicles can be delivered at additional cost or collection from TW8 9DW.
WHAT ARE THE CHARGES FOR DELIVERY AND COLLECTION?
Delivery and collection are charged at £1+VAT per mile with a minimum charge of £50 + VAT per movement.
A compulsory charge​ of £100.00 + VAT is applicable on all vehicles to move them from our central storage compound to our Brentford location.
DRIVING LICENCE CHECK
The paper (counterpart) of the license has been made obsolete. So, customers will now be required provide their license details prior to renting or booking their next hire vehicle.
This is to ensure that the license you’ve provided is still up to date and verifies the copy you’ve provided.
Your driving licence information is stored online and will contain information such as:
What type of licence you have (provisional or full)?
What vehicle’s you’re classed to drive
Previous offences
POSTCODE and address
If you have been banned from driving
Current penalty points or endorsements
National Insurance Number
- The licence holder will be required to provide a licence check code.
A license check code is unique to the license that wants to share its information. It’ll allow a third party to download and print your license information. This code is provided directly from the Driving and Vehicle Licence Agency website. To obtain this code, you’ll need the following details associated with the driving licence you want to share
HOW DOES INSURANCE WORK?
Many of our customers have existing insurance policies and this is the preferred option. If you are using our service as a “Stop Gap “car between the sale of your existing car and arrival of a new one, you provide the vehicle details to your insurer and share with us confirmation that the vehicle is comprehensively insured. If you have fleet policy at your company, then you can add the vehicle to your policy.
WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE AN EXISTING INSURANCE POLICY?
We can arrange flexible short-term insurance for your vehicle through NIG Insurance . It acts as an optional ‘bolt-on’ for customers who decide to opt for an all-inclusive rental. We will require a copy of both parts of your driving licence, a proof of address and ID to provide insurance cover. We will provide you with a quote for the vehicle and term of hire.The costs per month will be taken will be taken upfront with the deposit.
The insurance cover is linked directly with your account and will start at 00:00hrs from the day you pick up your vehicle up until 23:59hrs, the day your contract ends. The policy will automatically renew for each 28-day period until you decide to cancel.
The Flexi insurance carries a £500 excess and this sum will be payable by you in the event of any damage claim.
IS THIS INSURANCE POLICY THE SAME AS ANY NORMAL POLICY?
No, it’s a unique policy which runs for the exact period that your Flexed vehicle leasing contract runs for. It is issued for an initial 28-day period and automatically renews every 28 days. ​ We will debit your card each 28 days for the ongoing cover with the monthly rental charges.
CAN THE POLICY COVER VEHICLES BE SUPPLIED BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN FLEXI CAR CONTRACTS?
No, this policy is designed specifically for Flexi Car Contract vehicles.
CAN THE VEHICLE BE TAKEN ABROAD?
No.
HOW MUCH WILL MAINTENANCE COST?
How much will maintenance cost? On a Flexi Contracts rental car Nothing
Our maintenance costs are provided in the rental price, so you have one less thing to worry about.

HOW MANY MILES ARE INCLUDED FREE OF CHARGE?
All our fleet includes a mileage allowance of 12,000 miles per annum. This is charged pro-rata over the days of hire.
Excess mileage is charged from 0.75 pence per mile.
We will note your odometer reading on return and excess mileage charges will be rendered on the final invoice.
